摘要
Since 1988, Indian scholar BANERJEE et al first discovered the Ti2AlNb phase with an ordered orthogonal structure during their research on the toughening of Ti3Al-Nb. Ti2AlNb-based intermetallic compounds, named after the Ti2AlNb phase, have gradually gained attention in the research field due to their excellent specific strength, oxidation resistance, and comprehensive high-temperature properties. These compounds have shown significant potential for applications in the aerospace industry. In this paper, the Ti2AlNb alloy was briefly reviewed from three aspects: structure control, composition optimization design, preparation, and processing technology. This review was based on recent research conducted both domestically and internationally, including the author's latest work on directional annealing. Additionally, some challenges and prospects for the future development of the Ti2AlNb alloy are discussed. © 2023 Central South University of Technology. All rights reserved.
