Structural optimization design of Halbach array permanent magnet cursor motor

In order to improve the output torque of permanent magnet vernier motor (PMVM) and give full play to the advantages of Halbach permanent magnet array, a rotor-side Halbach array permanent magnet vernier motor is proposed. The PMVM and Halbach permanent magnet array A-type PMVM (HPMVMA) were compared and analyzed by analytical method and finite element method. The results show that the no-load back EMF and output torque of the motor are improved, and the amount of permanent magnet is reduced, but the torque ripple of the motor is increased. Therefore, Halbach permanent magnet array B-type PMVM (HPMVMB) was constructed by adding permanent magnet between the modulation teeth of HPMVMA. The structural parameters such as permanent magnet, modulation teeth and stator tooth width of HPMVMB were optimized. The operation performance and economic indicators were compared and analyzed. The results show that compared with HPMVMA, when the amount of HPMVMB permanent magnet increases by 20%, the utilization rate of permanent magnet and the torque density of the motor are increased by 40. 8 % and 69. 01%, respectively, and the torque ripple is decreased by 11. 74% .
