摘要
The cutterhead is the most important part of a tunnel-boring machine (TBM). To determine the load distribution and load variations under the action of coupling of the cutterhead and the cutters, a three-dimensional model of interactions between a water diversion project's TBM cutterhead and the rock was established. Based on an explicit dynamics algorithm, the entire excavation process of the TBM cutterhead was simulated and the state of the tunnel face and the dynamic tunneling load on the cutterhead were obtained. By analysis, the distribution and variation of the three-dimensional mechanical loads on each disc cutter and the total load on the cutterhead were obtained. The average torque of the cutterhead was 1 560 kN·m, and the maximum was 5 880 kN·m. The average thrust was 3 444 kN, and the maximum was 7 296 kN. Verification provided by an actual project showed that the real measured load was slightly larger than the simulation values. The total thrust error was 15.74%, and the total torque error was 15.38%; therefore, the effectiveness of the simulation results was verified. Based on this, research into the static and dynamic response characteristics of the cutterhead showed that the cutterhead maximum bearing stress was 100 MPa, and the maximum deformation was 0.695 mm; therefore, the cutterhead was judged to be of sufficient strength and stiffness. © 2016, Editorial Department of Journal of HEU.
