摘要
Intelligent equipment plays an important role in promoting industrial upgrading and economic development. Many countries have been competing for developing intelligent equipment. However, further enhancing the intelligence of equipmenthits a bottleneck caused by the limitation of time, space, technology and cost. Inspired by the digital twin, it could be feasible to give equipment new capabilities and improve its performance by data, model, and service in the information world. Thus, the concept of digital twin equipment was first proposed from four aspects, including definition, composition, ideal capabilities and key technologies. Then, development stages of digital twin equipment were further discussed. Finally, the application of the proposed digital twin equipment was verified by logistics equipment in textile shop-floor and autoclave in composite processing shop-floor. © 2022, Editorial Department of CIMS.
