Complex analysis of influence of durability of cutters with plates made of polycrystalline super hard materials (PSTM) based on cubic boron nitride (CBN) on probability of completion of technological operation was performed. The probability of cutter operation was defined and curves of reliability of operation of the tool were constructed. © Metallurgical and Mining Industry, 2015.
