摘要
Grid topology is traditionally considered as fixed in power system scheduling, operation and control. Recent research, however, reveals that grid topology control by transmission line switching can serve as an effective corrective scheme after system contingencies. Corrective line switching operations can possibly relieve load flow overloads quickly without affecting generator outputs and load supplies, and take the system back to secure states. Compared with traditional corrective measures, line switching is advantageous in that it is fast and economical. This paper systematically presents mathematical formulation and solution methodology for decision making of corrective line switching, summarizes the status quo of relevant international and domestic research, and proposes several key issues to be addressed in this area. Prospects of corrective line switching are also analyzed, especially its potential role in secure and efficient operation of power systems with large-scale renewable energy sources. © 2017, Power System Technology Press.
