The growth in demand of North American printing and writing paper demand is discussed. Industry observers are predicting that true consumption of printing and writing papers is on the rise. It is stated that mechanical grades posted the best gains, and coated mechanical demand is also increased by 8.6%, while uncoated mechanical is increased by 5.4%. It is also predicted that North American P/W demand would also post a strong recovery in the year 2004.
