Mn and Mo co-doped NiS nanosheets induce abundant Ni3+-O bonds for efficient electro-oxidation of biomass

摘要
MnMo-NiS were synthesized for electro-oxidizing ethylene glycol (EG), glycerol (GLY), and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), achieving faradaic efficiencies of 97.5%, 98.6%, and 99.2%, and yield rates of 615.7, 475.5, and 333.9 mu mol h-1 cm-2. In situ Raman spectroscopy and multi-step chronoamperometry reveal that Ni3+-O is the active site.
