ArcelorMittal Dunkerque has recently upgraded the drive system of its hot strip mill. The installation work was performed by proficient subcontractors and supervised by SMS group specialists. SMS Group manufactured all gearboxes in their own workshops in Hilchenbach and delivered them to the ArcelorMittal plant. After a final check, the units were disassembled into suitable sub units and transported to the site for installation.
