Control behavior of coherent acoustic phonons was studied. Acoustic phonons in semiconductor multiple quantum wells (MQW) are expected to have very long coherence times. Semiconductor MQWs produce zone folding of the acoustic phonon branch, allowing direct Raman excitation.
