摘要
Cage induction machines and salient-pole synchronous machines with skewed slots may have inter-bar currents that flow transversely between the bars in the rotor core due to the imperfect bar-iron insulation. This results in the axial variations of the currents in rotor bars and cores, and affects the electromagnetic and mechanical performances of the machines, such as loss, torque, axial vibration and temperature rise. This paper reviews of the research on the inter-bar currents in cage induction machines, including the mechanism of inter-bar currents, the measurement of bar-iron contact resistance, the electromagnetic modeling of inter-bar currents, the algorithm for the solution to the model, and the effects of inter-bar currents on machine performances. The paper also briefly introduces the causes and several examples of the inter-bar currents in salient-pole synchronous machines. On the basis of the above review, the paper recommends rotor temperature rise, electromagnetic performances and design improvement of damper windings in relation to the inter-bar currents as the future research. © 2018 Chin.
