摘要
The section of castellated beam can be divided into T-sections and piers according to different stress states, and the distribution of normal stress in T-section is relatively complicated. In this paper, the distribution of normal stress in T-section of simply supported castellated beam under different loads (bending moment, concentrated load and distributed load) was studied. The calculation results based on the former Soviet Union's and Japanese codes were compared and analyzed. It shows that the deviation can be very large when the depth ratio of the hole to the beam is high. On the basis of the results of finite element analysis, the calculation of normal stress in T-section recommended in the former Soviet Union's code was modified and an improved calculation that takes the parameters of the hole and the load conditions into account is proposed. The method is proved to be with high accuracy and practicability, especially when the depth ratio of hole to beam is between 0.5 and 0.8. © 2016, Editorial Office of Journal of Building Structures.
