A brief description about the electron tomography, which offers true visualization by merging separate and partial images into one complete picture and allows a reconstruction of the 3-D analysis is presented. It is a noninvasive, high-resolution and powerful imaging technique. The use of cryogenic electron tomography, makes it possible to study the cross-linking of individual actin microfilaments, as well as their branching angles and membrane attachment sites.
