摘要
The new SKeddy system, offered by the German Company Schwer + Kopka, uses eddy currents to inspect the incoming wire at the entry of the cold forming machine. Typical wire surface defects are detected, and all parts made from these defective wire sections are separated after they are formed and exit the machine. Moreover, the SKeddy system is a valuable tool to reduce production cost and to improve quality. The possibility to retrofit it to many existing process monitors adds even further to cost effectiveness.
