Method of 3D object pickup in virtual assembly environment

摘要
An algorithm, implementing method and processing of fast 3D object pickup are proposed based on object oriented techniques. The algorithm is independent of the OpenGL or Direct 3D environment and need not translate models to same coordinate system. Only the ray is translated to model space to do intersect based on the used matrix. The advantage of algorithm is that the computing time and storage are efficient. Meanwhile, some test results are given. The evidence suggests that the method is effective for object pick, motion, dynamic virtual assembly and information search.
