Awards serve the growth of any field by recognizing innovations in practice, methods, products, and tools, and sports technology is no exception. Given the importance attached to the role of technology in various spheres of life, there are different kinds of awards related to sports technology. Table 1 includes a look at some of the prominent categories in 2018 at the Yahoo Sports Technology Awards. Let's review some of the winners featured in Table 1 to understand how technology is influencing sports. © 1988-2012 IEEE.
