摘要
In order to improve the low-temperature properties of direct coal liquefaction residue (DCLR) modified asphalt, several different modifiers, such as SBS, rubber powder and three plasticizers (dioctyl maleate (DOM), dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and waterborne acrylic resin(WAR)) were used to enhance the properties of DCLR modified asphalt. The ductility at 5℃, bending beam rheometer (BBR) and scanning electron microscope tests were performed. The results show that the single modifier (SBS content is less than 3% or rubber powder content is less than 15%) has good effect on the low-temperature properties of DCLR modified asphalt. If the content of SBS or rubber powder is too high, it will have no improvement. The compound modifier, including SBS and rubber powder, present good effect on the low-temperature properties of DCLR modified asphalt. When the SBS content is 2% and the rubber powder is 15%, the modification effect is the best and the low-temperature properties of DCLR modified asphalt can basically meet the technical requirements of SBS modified asphalt I-D. Compared with the single modifier, the low-temperature properties of DCLR modified asphalt are improved one time. Among the three plasticizers, the effect of WAR on low-temperature properties of DCLR modified asphalt is the lowest, followed by DOP. And DOM is the highest. The low-temperature properties of DCLR modified asphalt with 3% DOM can satisfy the technical requirements of SBS modified asphalt I-D. Compared with compound modifier (the SBS content is 2% and the rubber powder is 15%), the preparation of DOM is more simple. In a comprehensive comparison, it is recommended that 3% DOM is the most suitable way to improve the low-temperature properties of DCLR modified asphalt. © 2019, Periodical Office of China University of Petroleum.
