摘要：
A theoretical relationship on a rotor yarn contraction coefficient was derived and verified experimentally assuming that fibres create a helical line in the rotor yarn. The experiment was carried out on 3 open-end yarns of different linear densities. The best agreement of experimental results with theoretical values was obtained for thinner yarns.
