When shutdowns began in the spring of 2020, we thought we might have to work from home for a couple of weeks to let the spread of the novel corona virus subside. Avoiding the daily commute was a nice change of pace at first, but then weeks turned into months. As the year dragged on, we realized the myriad things we took for granted in our pre-COVID lives: health, human contact, childcare, collaboration…the list goes on. © 2021, American Oil Chemists Society.
