摘要
Influence of alloy additions on steel properties and the different methods for alloy forming in powder metallurgy are presented. Carbon was found to strongly influence the martensitic hardness and hardenability. Chromium promoted formation of carbides, increased hardenability and enhanced strength after quenching and tempering. Simultaneous presence of hard phases surrounded by soft and plastically deformable phases indicated resistance to external stresses.
