摘要
For the problem of the relatively large dead zone near the branch contacted node, a fault location algorithm based on positive sequence fundamental components proposed in this paper. The algorithm does not use the numerical range as the fault detection basis but uses the two opposing states, which are the equation of two-terminal transmission lines having a solution or no solution, as the basis for discrimination to achieve detection of faulty branch. Thus, the algorithm can effectively reduce the range of dead zone near the branch contacted node. In addition, this algorithm realizes the fault branch identification and fault location at the same time. This algorithm not affected by the fault type, transition impedance and system impedance. The simulation results of PSCAD have verified the correctness, validity and accuracy of the proposed algorithm. © 2018, Power System Technology Press. All right reserved.
