摘要
Ultrasonic measurement technology is the most promising method to measure the thickness of oil film of diesel engine piston ring because of its strong penetration. However, due to the complexity of the running state of diesel engines, many researches are limited to the theory and calibration of ultrasonic measurement technology, and few researches are actually applied to the dynamic measurement in diesel engines. A simulation test platform for ultrasonic measurement of cylinder oil film thickness of a diesel engine was designed and built. The variation and distribution of piston ring oil film thickness were measured and analyzed. The platform uses a motor to simulate the running state of the cylinder and piston at a speed of 0—100 r/min,and adopts a new data acquisition strategy to solve the problem of large amount of data but less useful signals in the traditional ultrasonic measurement process. The results show that the minimum oil film thickness of the piston ring increases with the increase of rotating speed, and the measurement accuracy increases with the increase of pulse repetition frequency and spatial resolution. © 2023 Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines.
