摘要
The interfacial interaction between the polymer and fiber is very important in determining the reinforcement efficiency in the fiber polymer composites. In this paper, the interfacial structures and properties of the nylon 6 fiber/poly (ε-cprolactone) (PCL) fiber/matrix composites were studied by polarizing microscope (POM), SEM and tensile tests. The nylon-6 fibers is found to be effective in inducing the transcrystallization of PCL and leading to the formation of a transcrystalline PCL layer encircling the nylon-6 fiber. The growth rate of the transcrystallization layer decreases with increasing the crystallization temperature in the desired temperature range. The Lauritzen-Hoffman theory of heterogeneous nucleation was applied to analyze the transcrystallization process and the nucleation constant (Kg). It is indicated that the strong interfacial adhesion between PCL and nylon 6 fiber greatly improves the tensile property of the composites. © 2016, Chengdu University of Science and Technology.
