This paper has processed a three-dimensional numerical simulation for armour piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS) separating and discarding. Two types of grid generation methods, arc length grid generation method and Poisson equation grid generation method, have composed of the technique of multi-method and division blocks grid generation method. After simplified the shape of APFSDS, it has generated the mesh. The finite volume total variation diminishing (TVD) scheme is educed based on Harten two-dimensional TVD scheme in the Descartes coordinate system, and the Euler equations are developed. The method is applied to the APFSDS separating and discarding three dimensional flow field. It has also given the resistance coefficient and lift coefficient and pitching moment of the sabot, and its comparison between the experimentation and computation. The compares imply that the simulation results are fit, and the method can give some enlightenment for the future design of APFSDS.
