Studies on leaf anatomy of Tribulus terrestris L. (Zygophyllaceae) in populations from the Thracian floristic region

摘要
Studies on the leaf epidermis and mesophyll structure of Tribulus terrestris in three populations of the Thracian floristic region showing histological differences, probably due to specific soil-climatic conditions, were carried out. The basic epidermal cells are small isodiametric, stomata are located on both surfaces. The presence of numerous long trichomes with specific sculpture, l as the well-developed cuticle are typical properties. The palisade tissue is highly developed, often situated on both sides of the leaf surface.
