Study on dynamic routing planning A-star algorithm based on cooperative vehicles infrastructure technology

Dynamic routing planning can effectively alleviate road congestion problem, and cooperative vehicles infrastructure is the leading development direction of intelligent transportation, therefore this paper introduces a dynamic routing planning algorithm based on cooperative vehicles infrastructure technology. First, the road traffic and the delay degree at intersection caused by driving direction was used to calculate the road value, and route traffic variation of planned path was introduced to design dynamic routing planning A-star algorithm. Second, a cooperative vehicles infrastructure experimental system including a cooperative platform and a simulation platform was built based on the technology of RFID, ZIGBEE and C#.NET to validate the algorithm. Then, the threshold of route traffic variation under vehicle flow of 20, 25, 30 v/min is determined on the simulation platform we built. Finally, the algorithm validation is conducted on the cooperative platform and simulation platform. The result shows that the running time achieved by dynamic A-star algorithm could be respectively decreased by 6.1% and 16.4% compared with that obtained by DIJKSTRA algorithm on 3×3 and 4×4 grid map. ©, 2015, Binary Information Press.
