Modeling and analysis of process scheduling in batch plants

摘要
Process scheduling plays an important role in batch plants. The mixed integer Linear programming (MILP) and time Petri nets were used to model batch processes scheduling problem under unlimited intermediate storage. The simulation was implemented by Lindo and hpsim 1_1 respectively for an example. The result shows that for small size problems, both models can be solved effectively. And the former has more constraints and complex formations, while the latter describes the logical relationship by graphical tool and more suitable to analyze the performance of scheduling systems.
