Abstract: A method for assessing the thermal fatigue material resistance is proposed, which ensures testing under conditions close to real hot-stamping. To implement the proposed technique, an installation is designed and manufactured that provides heating of the sample end surfaces with regulation of the thermal cycle frequency and ratio of heating-cooling periods. The results of theoretical and experimental studies of the temperature conditions of operation of the working tool of an automatic hot-stamping press are presented. The application of the proposed evaluation method of thermal fatigue material resistance makes it possible to study the patterns of thermal fatigue destruction of the hot-stamping tool material and, on this basis, to develop and optimize laser heat treatment technology and other technological processes. © Allerton Press, Inc. 2024.
