摘要
The characteristics of laser surface texturing (LST) technique are summarized, and LST technique application in tribology is introduced. The effect of parameters about the geometrical shape, size, texture density of laser surface texture, and the hardness increase of metal material surface caused by LST on friction performance are discussed respectively. The future research, development and application field of LST technique are pointed out. The theoretical simulation and calculation to complement the experimental study should be enhanced. Experimental study should focus on exploration and summary of laws, while mechanism study should further investigate the changes of microstructure and mechanical properties caused by texture, and the effects on tribological properties, mechanical properties and chemical properties of the materials caused by texture. © 2017, Materials Review Magazine.
