Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works launched the fast attack missile craft Quwwat on 13 September 2004. Built under a technology-transfer agreement with the Marsun yard in Thailand, the vessel has a steel hull and aluminium alloy superstructure. It will have a maximum displacement of 250t and a speed of more than 30kt. Suited to shallow-water operations, the vessel is designed to be capable of launching anti-ship and surface-to-air missiles, but no details of its planned armament or electronic systems have been released. © 2005 Jane's Information Group.
