Numerical simulation of the effects of urban blocks and buildings on flow characteristics

摘要
A three-dimensional high resolution turbulence energy closure model is used to simulated the flow structures in urban sub-domains and canyons. A numerical case is carried out to simulate and analyze the flow structures in an urban sub-domain (in size of 1250 m ×1200 m) under different inflow wind directions, and the result shows that the flow structure is simulated in good details. The complex geometric shapes of buildings lead to a complex flow structure in this area. Wind speed is weakened in low layer due to the resistance and drag of buildings.
