Results are presented on the equilibria and kinetics associated with the adsorption of methane and nitrogen over carbon molecular sieve X2M6/8 Takeda. The adsorption isotherms for this system are described using the LRC (loading ratio correlation) equation. Also, diffusional time constants for N2 and CH4 are determined over the adsorbent studied and their dependence on temperature and concentration of the adsorbed phase is qualitatively assessed.
