Application of adaptive fuzzy control in vehicle semi-active suspension system

A control strategy for vehicle semi-active suspension adaptive fuzzy system based on neural networks was proposed in this paper. The model of system and the design of adaptive fuzzy control were analyzed. A weight-learning algorithm was presented by using the gradient descent method with variable-slopes, which was useful to accelerate learning and improve convergence. Simulation results showed that the proposed controller has good control performance, the semi-active suspension is superior to the passive one in improving the ride comfort. Calculation results agreed with the measured ones.
