摘要
Fixed-wing aircrafts and underwater vehicles have many similarities in the working principle and structural layout, and there are some common characteristics in the noise generation and propagation. Based on the existing studies of aircraft noise prediction and some unique noise characteristics of the underwater vehicles, noise generation and propagation mechanisms of the underwater vehicles were analyzed from the aspects of the system and the components. Moreover, the engineering prediction model of noise radiated from the underwater vehicles was analyzed, and some research foundations were introduced and summarized. © 2021, Editorial Board of Journal of Ship Mechanics.
