The ordering of a new 30,000tonne/yr tissue paper machine by Fabrica de Papel San Fransisco from Mesto Paper is discussed. It is estimated that the 2.6m wide unit is to start up at the mill in Mexicali, northwest Mexico, in third quarter of 2006. The Paper Machine (PM) will be fed with recycled fiber and its output will be converted on site into toilet paper, napkins, and towels. It is found that the firm commissioned a 30,000 tonne/yr PM from Voith Paper at the end of the year 1999.
