Deformation Control Limits for Long-Span Concrete Arch Bridge of High-Speed Railway

A long-span deck-type concrete arch bridge was taken as the research object. By means of vehicle-bridge coupling analysis method, the dynamic responses of vehicle-bridge system under the combined action of temperature and creep were analyzed. Furthermore, the control index and limit value of bridge deformation were investigated. Results show that under the combined action of temperature and original creep, the dynamic responses of vehicles can meet the requirements of codes. Under the combined action of temperature and creeps with different multiples, with the increase of creep deformation, the derailment coefficient, wheel-axle lateral force and lateral acceleration change very little, while the reduction rate of wheel load has a certain change but the amplitude is small. All of them are insensitive to the long wave irregularities caused by temperature and creep. The effects of temperature and creep on the vertical acceleration of carbody are significant. With the increase of creep deformation, the vertical acceleration of carbody increases obviously. The vertical acceleration of carbody can be used as the main evaluation index of deformation control limits for high-speed railway arch bridge. © 2019, Editorial Department of China Railway Science.
