Preparation and structural analysis of Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2 coating material

By preparation and structural analysis of Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) coating material, the optimum content of Y2O3 are obtained. The result indicates the ZrO2 material changes from a monoclinic phase to high temperature phase with increasing Y2O3 mole content to 7%. Structure test and grain size calculation of the YSZ coating material and thin film proves that Y2O3 has a good stabilized effect on ZrO2. Moreover, we also bring forward that premelting of the coating material is a high temperature annealing process, and it is helpful for ZrO2 material to change from monoclinic to high temperature phase. ©, 2015, Rare Metals Materials and Engineering Press.
