摘要：
The development of Ireland's proposed 530 MW off shore wind farm is discussed. The wind park is predicted to produce 10% of the country electricity and will be constructed on a sand bank 7 Km from the shore. The reduction in carbon dioxide emissions will be in the order of 1.1 million tonnes per year. Extensive site investigations and studies are completed and engineering for the project is underway.
