Study of the application of triclosan in liquid antibacterial dishwashing detergent

By compounding triclosan with common liquid dishwashing detergent, the liquid dishwashing detergent containing 0.3% triclosan was developed. Inhibition ring tests show that when the detergent is diluted to 0.2%, the ring diameter sizes for Staphylococcus aureus and colon Bacillus are 28.8 mm and 11.5 mm respectively. Kept under 54°C for 14 days and under 37°C for 90 days, the ring diameter sizes don't decrease, which indicates good bacteriostasis effects and stability. The acute oral toxicity tests show that the medium lethal dose is higher than 5000 mg/kg and therefore the detergent belongs to the actually nonpoisonous type. Tests on kitchen dishcloth show that the detergent has excellent bacteriostasis and deodorization effects. The liquid antibacterial dishwashing detergent is of high value in application and has a good future of market.
