摘要
Rheinmetall Landsysteme (RLS) has won a EUR181 million contract from the Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement (BWB) to supply additional light armored fighting vehicles (AFV) to the German Army. The order covers the supply of Bv 206 S tracked articulate all-terrain light AFVs and Yak 6×6 armored multirole vehicles. The German Army will use these vehicles for out-of-area operations. The weight of vehicles will enable them to be rapidly transported by current in-service C-160 Transall aircraft as well as the future A400M. RLS developed the Yak originally as a private venture to meet the potential requirements of the German and other armies for a light wheeled vehicle with good mobility and protection from small-arms fire.
