To further efficiently promote energy conservation, carbon reduction, and sustainable development of high energy-consuming industries, on the basis of the integrated development of new energy with petrochemical, steel, and coal industry, the energy coupling system with multi-energy complementary and clean low-carbon with the core goal of promoting system energy efficiency, realizing industrial clean production, ensuring economic reliability and leading low-carbon development is formed by establishing a green and efficient science and technology system, building an interconnected energy coupling internet and creating an efficient and collaborative energy coupling control system. Combined with the case study of coal-petrochemical-new energy, it shows that the construction of inter-industry energy coupling can improve energy utilization efficiency and resource utilization value as a whole, and the industrial carbon reduction effect is relatively significant. It is suggested to accelerate the construction and demonstration application of a clean and low-carbon energy coupling system with multiple complementary energy sources, and provide strong support in industrial policies, technology development, and other aspects. Encourage industries (enterprises) to actively explore the feasibility path of multi energy coupling, build an energy internal and external circulation system, promote the conversion of new and old energy, and facilitate industry energy efficiency improvement and green and low-carbon transformation. © 2023 University of Petroleum, China.
