Energy conservation and network life extending are the most important issues in the design of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). According to high energy consumption of LEACH protocol and short survival lifetime of the WSN, MEA (Mind evolution algorithm)-based WSN routing algorithm was proposed in this paper. Knowledge process mechanism of the MEA was exploited to deal with the constraint of the physical distance of WSN to select the optimal routing so as to improve the efficiency of the WSN. The theoretical study and experiments results show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. © 2012 by Binary Information Press.
