UPM-Kymmene waits for EC's verdict

UPM-Kymmene is waiting for the European Commission's (EC) verdict on its plans to merge with Haindl, which is feared to lead to an oligopoly. The EC interviewed magazine and newspaper publishers on the impact of the merger on the publication paper grades. The company convined EC of the ability to set prices which are limited by the buying power of the publishers.
