Location-based services (LBS) from Swisscom Mobile

Use of State-of-the-Art Technology for Location-based Mobile Services. In Comtec of 11/01 we took a look at Swisscom Mobile's location-based services (LBS) as well as reporting on the location-based mobile services of the four German network operators. This service-based analysis revealed the large technical expenditure required to implement LBS of an acceptable standard. This time, as well as an update on the current LBS offering, the question will be examined using the Swisscom Mobile LBS platform as an example of how LBS work and how the desired information arrives on the user's mobile phone.
