A Study on the Monitoring Technique for the Dynamic Response Characteristics of High Pressure Common Rail Fuel Injector

Non-contact method is adopted to measure the current and inlet pressure signals of high-pressure common-rail high-speed solenoid injector and the process of injection is synchronously recorded by video camera. Test results show that there is a high correlation between the opening and closing delays of solenoid in electromagnetic injector and coil current, and furthermore, combined with the change in inlet pressure of injector, the opening and closing processes of needle valve and injection duration can be determined. © 2018, Society of Automotive Engineers of China.
