Development and implementation of communication bus on small satellite house-keeping computer

摘要
The communication bus for house-keeping computer on modern small satelite should be applied with intelligent chip and more external data processing equipment. The traditional serial communication buses can not meet this requirement. Controller area network (CAN) is more suitable for small satellite because of its no-host structure, high performance and low cost. According to the fact that there are many single events in the orbits of small satellites, a dual bus redundancy scheme based on CAN was implemented on TS-1 small satellite. A series of experiments conducted on an experimental platform with CAN communication prove the feasibility of the scheme.
