Primary aluminum industry in the year 2019

This review covers the activities of the worldwide primary aluminum industry during the year 2019. Worldwide aluminum production was expected to top at about 63.5 million tonnes in 2019, of which the Chinese production was estimated at 35.8 million tonnes (or possibly even more). Chinese aluminum capacity was forecast to achieve 43.05 million tonnes in 2019. Throughout the world, primary aluminum companies are becoming more and more focused on sustainability.
