摘要
The band structure of the most important transverse collective excitations of a stack of two-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensates in a one-dimensional optical lattice with and without a vortex was calculated. The short-wavelength part of the excitation spectra was also calculated. Based on the results, predictions for the effective mass of the monopole and quadrupole modes were derived.
