摘要
In order to suppress the turn-off voltage spike and overcome the hard-switching in traditional current-fed converters, this paper proposes a resonant current-fed bi-directional converter with high-voltage-side modulation. By adopting a variable frequency control and modulating the high voltage side, the proposed converter can operate with natural commutation and ZCS turn-off for the low-voltage-side MOSFETs. The turn-off voltage spikes of low-voltage-side MOSFETs are eliminated as well. First, the operation principles under the forward operation mode and backward operation mode are analyzed. Then the characteristics and design guideline of the proposed converter are detailed. Finally, a 400W converter prototype is built and tested. The experimental results verify the feasibility and advantages of the proposed converter and control strategy. © 2017, The editorial office of Transaction of China Electrotechnical Society.
