The aim of the paper is to describe the activity of the International Conference 'Novel technologies in the powder metallurgy (PM) and ceramics' (8-12 September, Kiev). More 200 reports from different countries were presented at the conference. These reports were discussed at the following sections: scientific basis of PM, fiber metallurgy, powder compaction and consolidation when sintering, PM process simulation, nanotechnologies and nanomaterials.
